A short, honest cookie policy
We keep cookies to a minimum. The IKAN portal sets a small set of strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Everything else — analytics and error diagnostics — stays off until you opt in. This page lists every cookie and how to control it.

1What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. We also use closely-related browser storage (localStorage) for the same purposes. We group them into strictly-necessary cookies, which the portal cannot function without, and optional cookies (analytics and diagnostics), which we only set with your consent.

We never use cookies for cross-site advertising, ad-network tracking, or selling data to third parties.
3The consent banner
On your first visit you’ll see a consent banner. Accept all enables optional analytics and diagnostics; Essential only keeps everything optional switched off. Until you choose, no analytics or diagnostic cookies are set — only the strictly-necessary ones above.
Your choice is stored in the ikan_consent cookie and in your browser’s local storage for one year, so we don’t keep asking. Withdrawing or changing consent later is as easy as giving it — see below.
4Managing your choices
- Reset the banner: clear cookies and site data for this portal (or just delete the
ikan_consentcookie) and reload — the banner reappears so you can choose again. - Browser controls: every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its privacy settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will sign you out and break parts of the portal.
- Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control: where your browser sends these signals, we treat them as a request to keep optional cookies off.
